What is your position at Swell-o-Phonic/http://chane.com?

I think I got a term of "office manager" at some point? I help with all the things and a bunch behind the scenes but I do my best to be a generally smiley chatty person when I need to be.

What's your favorite thing about working here?

My coworkers are probably number one. For a long time, I was the only girl but these boys took pretty good care of me for the most part. They are genuinely some of my best friends. Number two, there's the freedom of it. Chane's been really great to give us some ownership in this company where we can make decisions and have a say that you don't always get elsewhere.

What's your least favorite?

Remember how I just said those boys took pretty good care of me? They throw a lot of things and stress me out on purpose and also sometimes Chris runs the drill behind my ear to stress me out and NOT NICE.

Before working at Swell-O-Phonic/chane.com, what was the most unusual or interesting job you've ever had?

I worked in a firework stand one summer which is something I sometimes forget about actually. Actually, my current boyfriend was the manager of it at the time and I was such a brat during that week or two I was there!

What's your most embarrassing moment at work?

Probably the moment when an old man genuinely didn't understand the Bacon Gives Me a Lardon shirt and he had me explain it to its *fullest* extent. I probably couldn't have been redder.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

A feminist who has a home full of beautiful west elm furniture, fuzzy pillows (guys, there's currently a sale on fuzzy throw blankets from west elm and I have issues, plz send help), and cats.

Complete this sentence: When I'm not at work I can be found:

Somewhere probably eating Asian or Mexican food to be quite honest. Or laying in bed looking at aforementioned beautiful west elm furniture I can't afford. Chris thinks I'm at Whole Foods (or Kroger, Rainbow, or Fresh Market - grocery stores in general I guess) all the time and maybe he's not wrong.

How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet?

I have some probably 9 year old Jimmy Choo flats that my mom bought on sale that I obviously stole out of her closet. I don't really have any name brand shoes so I feel like I can't ever give them away.

If you were an animal, what would you be?

An otter is my favorite but I feel like I'd most likely be a bunny rabbit.

What, or who, are you a "closet" fan of?

Oh, god, I'm probably (weirdly) the world's biggest Carly Rae Jepsen fan. It started as a joke and it blossomed from there. I even BOUGHT an album.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I feel like I can confidently say I would never, ever get sick of the Fish Sauce Wings from Pok Pok in Portland, OR. (missupokpok!)

What book did you read last?

I read The Rules Do Not Apply by Ariel Levy in about a day. It's a heartbreaking memor that was really well written that I had seen on many people's recommendations. It didn't disappoint.

Tell an interesting fact about yourself.

When I was 15, my grandfather was the president of a small bank in Middle-of-Nowhere, Mississippi and someone left a ransom note saying they would kidnap one of his grandchildren if he didn't give some crazy amount of money and because I was the only girl, everyone assumed it was going to be me. Instead of being scared, I was 15 and angsty that everyone was keeping so close of tabs on me. Looking back, that seems like a dream but no, my sitcom-like life is very real. Bizarre.
